Thanks to Yahoo Photos shutting down i've moved my photos to Flickr (which im starting to wish i hadnt done). How on earth do i make my sets public, without having to click into each photo individually?? I'm not impressed at the moment, Flickr isnt exactly user friendly.

Is it ok to use other's flickr photos on your blog, if you reference properly & provide a link back?
I love looking at flickr and find some many inspiring images there that I love to put on my blog. Is this legal to do this? As well as the image, I put the image name, artist name and a link back to the artist's flickr site. Is this ok?

I'm obviously not the only one sorry to see Photomail go!.
It was great. It's not the same sending pics as attachments, or having friends go to a photo-sharing site/gallery..
I do comic strips/cartoons with my photos and you simply can't do that attaching a bunch of files.
Also with Photomail, you could put the pics in whatever order, whatever size, with whatever comments/captions you wanted.
It was also then automatically available to the recipient as a SLIDE SHOW WITHIN THE EMAIL.

You have to tell Yahoo to transfer the photos and then it will transfer them to a place of your choosing. Once you transfer them, it will take quite a bit of time until the transfer goes through (usually a week or more). Also, once you transfer them it is permanent. You can't transfer them to Flickr, then change your mind and want them on Photobucket. Yahoo will only transfer them once.

When asked, I made the mistake of moving all my yahoo pics to shutterfly, and decided Flickr would be a better place for what I use my pics for. I want people looking at my 360 page to be able to go to my albums. I thought I could do that in the RSS feeds, but can't seem to be able to do it or figure it out. What wpild be the best/easiest way to allow people who visit my 360 page to be able to click on a link to see the albums? Also, does anyone have an idea of the easiest way to move my albums from shutterfly to flickr without having to upload all the pics again?

I take pics off of Flicker by right clicking on the pic. Then save as. Also look to resize it first. I will go to your comp My pictures. And then you can do what you want with them. Works for me.

I changed from Yahoo photos to Flickr and was dismayed to find out I could only access my own pictures by paying for them. Does this not interfere with the Data Protection Act in some way, if the property actually belongs to me, then why can I not access it without having to pay for it.

I just know that I can't do many things with my 360 now and it seems that every-time yahoo goes newer and better things get really screwed up. But as they say it is Beta, so wait until our "genius" figures it out. In one case I had to wait 6 months, and it still was not complete. Only a partial fix is in place.

I had the same problem friend. First make sure that all photoes are saved as 'public' settings, then what you have to do is inform your problem to Yahoo 360 customer care , the link is on the right-top corner of your 360 page. Hope they will resolve your problem as soon as possible. Good luck!

A question about guests account with yahoo flickr?
I want to invite someone as a guest to view my photos in yahoo flickr. But when they click on the link that is in the email (the email sent from yahoo flickr to invite them), it brings them to the my login page. Does this mean I have to give them my yahoo password to allow them to view the photos? The photos are setup to be viewed only by friends and family.

There are some SUPER DUPER creepy guys that are saying things that i dont feel comfy with!
i put almost all my pic on private so only friends could see them
the only pic that wernt were pic of my foot, so i could have a q. about them on here. Now the creeps are comenting like "your feet are soooooo sexy" and "you have beatiful bunions-thats what sets you apart" and also" put more pic of ur self on here, you dont have very many!" then they wpuld add me as their contact so that they could see them! THEY WERNT EVEN PIC OF MY FACE! so, i deleted ALL of my pictures....

If I'm remembering right, you need to merge your yahoo address with your Flickr account, so click the merge button.
I'm also wondering if you had a paid account at one point in time (how many pics did you have there?) and now it is not paid so all your pics aren't there.

Ok so im into photography and i love using flickr to put my photos online. I was viewing my profile at school for a while and then I was blocked from it, I dont know why but i dont see anything wrong with Flickr but apparentley it's a waste of time, even though its my senior year and i have nothing but art classes anyways. Why am I still having trouble connecting flickr to my 360 page?
I go to 360, click on "share photos" and am presented with a screen that asks for my name in flickr. I put that in, and it says it does not find me. But when I take a clean slate (my Yahoo home page) and go to flickr by way of my favorites listing, the name is the one I put into that request for name mentioned above. I don't know how to do an RSS, or I'd do it that way.

Flickr does not work... plain and simple.. it has never worked right.and it probably will never work right in the future.. it took my photos and ran away with them.. that was a year ago.. and I have not found them yet!
But if you want to use the rss feed for your albums..
this is what you have to look for on the page of your album in the Flickr program.
It most likely will be found on the edges of the page.. at the bottom or the top at any place they can stick it.
You look for the letters XML or RSS feeds..
they are usually orange in color or a very bright red..
click the letters you find..
it will open up the feed to the site on another popup ... if on this page you see where it wants you to subscribe to the RSS or XML feed... click yes..
if it is not there.. look at the address on your browser ... does it have the ending that says.. rss/html... or xml/rss feed in the url there?
then copy it and go to our MY Page and in your profile you have a place you can put your home page url in it and save it to the profile..
or you can just put it on your feeds section.. but that doesn't always work.. but the homepage thing does.. it will not post a feed on your updates everyday. .. but it will take you straight into your albums.. on Flickr.. which does not work..
I use google's picasa web albums.. they are simple, they work every time.. and you get a great free photo editor to boot that cost around 100 dollars a couple years ago!
and a gmail address in the bargain.. without haveing to be invited..

Are you sure that you can log into http://flickr.com with that username? If you can't, then that's why you're having problems. Contact Flickr via their form on http://www.flickr.com/help/contact/ . The question is whether you can actually LOG IN to Flickr, not whether you can get to the Flickr page. You need to be able to access the Flickr account that contains your pictures. It asks for your FLICKR ID , not your "name/nickname" that's used in Flickr. There may be no difference actually, but you should definitely go to your Flickr account and make sure that you are using the correct ID (not nickname). Once you've logged in, you can check your account settings by clicking "My Account" under the "You" menu at the top.
When you click on "Share Photos" in 360, in the Flickr section there is a little link called "Change User." It's imperative that you check that link and make sure that the correct FLICKR ID is used there.
Also, your Flickr ID must be different than your Yahoo ID, or your photostream will not work. So, make sure that you check out the FIRST link that I listed above. You can make adjustments to your Flickr ID if necessary (I had to create a new Yahoo account just for Flickr and link my old Flickr account to that new ID, THEN make adjustments in Yahoo 360s photos module).
Once you think you have your Flickr ID totally correct in 360, save the settings, then you will likely need to wait at least 3 days for that Photostream to appear on your 360. RSS will not help if you're having problems accessing the correct Flickr account.

Flickr does not work... plain and simple.. it has never worked right.and it probably will never work right in the future.. it took my photos and ran away with them.. that was a year ago.. and I have not found them yet!
But if you want to use the rss feed for your albums..
this is what you have to look for on the page of your album in the Flickr program.
It most likely will be found on the edges of the page.. at the bottom or the top at any place they can stick it.
You look for the letters XML or RSS feeds..
they are usually orange in color or a very bright red..
click the letters you find..
it will open up the feed to the site on another popup ... if on this page you see where it wants you to subscribe to the RSS or XML feed... click yes..
if it is not there.. look at the address on your browser ... does it have the ending that says.. rss/html... or xml/rss feed in the url there?
then copy it and go to our MY Page and in your profile you have a place you can put your home page url in it and save it to the profile..
or you can just put it on your feeds section.. but that doesn't always work.. but the homepage thing does.. it will not post a feed on your updates everyday. .. but it will take you straight into your albums.. on Flickr.. which does not work..
I use google's picasa web albums.. they are simple, they work every time.. and you get a great free photo editor to boot that cost around 100 dollars a couple years ago!
and a gmail address in the bargain.. without haveing to be invited..

go to google home page.. click on more.. and then even more.. look at the list of downloads that are free from google and will be there.. download it and get started with no nagging photo web albums.. that do not make you want to do something evil to people.. when it is not their fault.. it is a really weak web site.. Flickr.. is putting too much into the video side of the thing.. trying to be like UTube and have live video from cellphones steaming in.. of kids at the mall trying on clothes ..

Are you sure that you can log into http://flickr.com with that username? If you can't, then that's why you're having problems. Contact Flickr via their form on http://www.flickr.com/help/contact/ . The question is whether you can actually LOG IN to Flickr, not whether you can get to the Flickr page. You need to be able to access the Flickr account that contains your pictures. It asks for your FLICKR ID , not your "name/nickname" that's used in Flickr. There may be no difference actually, but you should definitely go to your Flickr account and make sure that you are using the correct ID (not nickname). Once you've logged in, you can check your account settings by clicking "My Account" under the "You" menu at the top.
When you click on "Share Photos" in 360, in the Flickr section there is a little link called "Change User." It's imperative that you check that link and make sure that the correct FLICKR ID is used there.
Also, your Flickr ID must be different than your Yahoo ID, or your photostream will not work. So, make sure that you check out the FIRST link that I listed above. You can make adjustments to your Flickr ID if necessary (I had to create a new Yahoo account just for Flickr and link my old Flickr account to that new ID, THEN make adjustments in Yahoo 360s photos module).
Once you think you have your Flickr ID totally correct in 360, save the settings, then you will likely need to wait at least 3 days for that Photostream to appear on your 360. RSS will not help if you're having problems accessing the correct Flickr account.
Reply:What I finally did was do a photo stream from my 360 to my flickr. You might also try going to the flickr and see if there is some way to send it to your 360.
Oh, and type this question in the search field and see what other answers are there. I think there are a lot.
It takes several days for any changes on my flickr to show up on my 360.

Can anyone advise how do I delete a picture out of the Flickr account?
The pictures are in the favourites section.

Using Advanced Search it doesn't work to remove the words Flickr or www.flickr.com.....you also can't eliminate a domain in the search - just add one.

if i wanted to use flickr i would have signed up with that instead.?So i'm sure everyone has heard the news about yahoo and flickr. Are they going to automatically move our pictures for us? I went to the flickr site and was going to start a new accoutn, my yahoo id was already there, it asked if i wanted to sign in using yahoo id, merge with an existing account, or create a new account. I have opened an account in flickr weeks ago, i recieved an email saying the pics are ready and indeed they are, i have even uploaded a few more successfully.I can see them, they are marked public and have been for 2 weeks. BUT for the life of me i don't see HOW i'm supposed to move the pics to my 360 home page. clicking share photos only brings up the flicker page, which only askes me about uploading more pics. I can't find anywhere to email the pics or some other way of sending them.

You can't. That migration was a special service due to Photos closing, that is not a regular feature of any site. Instead you would have to download the ones you don't have on your computer and re-upload them all on the new site.

I know Yahoo is going to move my Yahoo Photos account and content into Flickr in September when they close down Yahoo Photos. Will it harm anything if I were to setup my Flickr account now and start using it?

Does anyone know if Flickr works with Myspace?
Flickr doesn't have Myspace listed so I wasn't sure if it would work or not. If someone knows for sure that it will or won't please let me know.

You can open two browers, which will make it easier to go back and forth copying and pasting as many pictures as you want into your blog entry.

Mine take some time before the show up and when a change them. Sometimes two or three days. I would go to the photo setting section and make sure you have selected the flickr option, if so it should be up soon.

You might be outta luck if you deleted the email linked to the account. You should have changed your email address in the Flickr account settings BEFORE deleting it. At this point, there's not much you can do if you can't get into your account.. try emailing customer service about it..

CSS to create what FLICKR.com and BLURB.com use?
Does anyone know where I can find the CSS and possibly javascript code to recreate what www.facebook.com , www.flickr.com, and www.blurb.com use on their sites?
Specifically they have that 'down arrow' image next to their text menu names and it also changes to a box when hovered over.

I could not find the effect on any site other than blurb.com. Kinda a neat effect for a menu, but did you notice the JavaScript attached to that menu? Good grief. It took me a half hour just to get the damn thing to work. There are at least 10 different JavaScript files that make this menu work, not to mention the JavaScript that's written into the page. The majority of the JavaScript files are external files. You can see them in the source code, they all have the following extension "js?1200638416". You will need every single one of these files to make it work. Not impossible, but can be done. Not sure if the arrow images can be changed or not. I didn't see them at a quick glance in the code, but I'm sure there in there somewhere, or on one of the external JavaScript files. This is a nice menu effect, but unless you are skilled with accessing files on a sever, you will never get this thing to work. I didn't download the files to get it to work, though I could have, I just added the complete URL to the JavaScript file extensions and the images. The menu might be worth the time to clone, but unless you have a good HTML editor, it's just about impossible to do without.
