Dee gets all the credit for this EXCELLENT workaround (see her post here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... ) . It took a few days for it to show up after I followed her instructions AND contacting Flickr about the "no cookies enabled" glitch, but the photostream is now working on my 360 test page.
"Evidentally the glich has to do with your sign in name. If you use the same name to sign into your 360 and Flickr then it wont work. You can go to your account info in Flickr and change the name you use to sign in with (if you don't have another yahoo account it gives you the option to set one up) ... just use a different yahoo ID to sign in with. After you do that, you go to your 360 page hit the share photos button, then share flickr photo stream, and then "change user." Put in the yahoo ID that you use to sign into your flickr account with, and it will work."
Thank you again, Dee!
360 FEATURE UPDATE: Did you know there was a solution to the Flickr photostream problem (new users)?
Very informative indeed. Thanks. Funny tho that the glitch seems to be involved with account names when most of us new to FLICKR are getting there directly FROM yahoo
Reply:Thanks for the info about getting flickr to work on yahoo 360,works now. Report It
Reply:Jeff f, you're welcome. That's excellent news! Report It
Reply:It looks like this glitch has been fixed. I switched my Photostream back to my original account (on Flickr and Y!360) and it's still working after a day! Report It
Reply:Thanks for the solution but I'm not going to create another Yahoo account to fix a bug in Flickr. If it isn't fixed in a month or two I will just cut the damn thing off.
Yahoo Photos was awesome; I'll miss it.
Thank you VERY much for getting the answer! It feels better to know what happened.
Reply:Thanks so much for the update, Kee. You are so helpful!
Reply:You can also post "Slide" on your 360. Its free.
www.slide.com Make your own. upload your pictures. Its all
well instructed (easy to follow). Just post it in your blog if you want. There are all kinds of free photo sites you can use as a alternative to Flickr. Thanks dee for the info.
Reply:Hi Kee, Yes I'm aware of the happenings with Flicker ..but I have found a site called " Slide " it's very useful there are many ways to use this site .. you can create a guest book that your friends and family can sign , leave pic's and even leave utube video's .. then there's also a slide show, you can upload all of your favorite photos with music and you can edit it to any look you like .... I hope you find them as enjoyable as I http://www.slide.com/arrange? ps.. these are easily transfered to your 360 with just a click.
Reply:Thank you for the information Kee you are so helpful and nice and i really appreciate
